What to expect

Focused work, with clear communication.

Myofascial release is a broad term for hands-on techniques directed at muscles and surrounding connective tissue. Dr. Hamilton selects an approach based on your presentation and the purpose of the visit.

During care

The technique may involve sustained pressure, gentle movement or work across a selected region. You can give feedback at any point, and pressure can be changed.

After the visit

Dr. Hamilton may suggest simple movement or mobility work when appropriate. Mild temporary tenderness or soreness for a day or two is possible after soft tissue care.

Common questions

About myofascial release.

Is this a full-body massage?

No. It is focused clinical soft tissue work selected for the goals of the scheduled visit.

Can the pressure be changed?

Yes. Communication is encouraged, and the technique can be modified or stopped.

Is it combined with an adjustment?

It may be, but the visit is individualized and no technique is automatic.
